For generations the Tagaras family have tended to their olive groves in the white soil of the upper reaches of the village of Agios Vassilios, Greece. The Manaki varietal olive trees are grown using traditional organic methods and irrigated only by the rain clouds that blow in off the bay of Corinth. The olives are carefully hand picked at the ideal moment of ripeness under the direction of patriarch Theofanis Tagaras and cold pressed within hours of harvest. The unfiltered extra virgin olive oil is vividly fresh and peppery with a long buttery finish.
