Gianni Calogiuri's family has produced their Vincotto Originale "cooked wine" from locally grown Negroamaro and Malvasia Negra grapes in Puglia, Italy since 1825. The juice of the old vine grapes is aged for four years in oak barrels to produce this "exceptionally organoleptic" vinegar.
Use Vincotto Originale as a condiment over roasted meats, salads, vegetables, and soups. It blends nicely with bacon and potatoes for an original potato salad. It also gives zest to many desserts, vanilla ice cream, fresh peaches or pears.
No added preservatives, alcohol, coloring, or sugar.
