Gianni Calogiuri's family has produced their Vincotto Originale "cooked wine" from locally grown Negroamaro and Malvasia Negra grapes in Puglia, Italy since 1825. The juice of the old vine grapes is aged for four years in oak barrels to produce this "exceptionally organoleptic" vinegar.
The Lemon Vincotto is a versatile dressing. It can be used as a condiment to enhance the flavor of antipasti, salads containing carrots, cooked vegetables, roasted, baked or grilled meat, carpaccio, fish, smoked salmon, and fruit sorbets.
No added preservatives, alcohol, coloring, or sugar.
