Made by one of the largest cheese producers in France, the Fromageries des Chaumes, this washed rind cheese can get a bit smelly. Though not as intense as Epoisses or Munster, this cheese gets stronger as it ages. The pate is somewhat rubbery in texture with nutty hints and an almost meaty quality.
Great as an introductory cheese to more smelly and pungent cheeses.
