These cheese beauties are painted on canvas with oil paints. Susanne has painted a variety of cheeses all found in the store. However, if there is a particular cheese you favor, and do not see it artfully rendered, she can be commissioned to paint it for you!
Susanne is a conservator of easel and mural paintings and has worked at the the National Gallery in Washington and Los Angeles County Museum of Art. She has spent years in Italy and Austria working on wall paintings and related materials. Since starting in private practice she has focused on the treatment of unusual painted surfaces in addition to the routine conservation treatment of fine art.
Her lifelong passion for food, particularly cheese, brought her to our humble establishment and has kept her here for over a decade.
